As per mythology, Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir is a sacred place where Bhagwan Shiva drink the poison originated from Samudra Manthan & stored it in his throat. This poison makes Bhagwan Shiva's throat blue in colour & due to this blue colour throat his another becomes Neelkanth. This Shiva Mandir is best place for devotees to visit.

Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir has a very appealing & colorful architecture. Above the entrance door, scene of mythology story of Samundra Manthan is shown by pictures of Gods and Demons on stones. The walls of the Mandir shows the complete story of Samudra Manthan. Inner part of Mandir is also very beautiful. A holy Shivlinga is established in this Mandir. Devotees attach sacred thread in a huge Peepal tree and makes a desire.
